Our online interior design service, from the Gold Coast to Edinburgh
Last updated
Luxxe Interiors is a Gold Coast interior design studio led by Tammy Brazel, designing homes across Australia and overseas since 2019. Our online interior design service is the engine behind that reach. Whole projects are designed remotely through 3D renders, virtual reality walkthroughs and builder-ready drafting packages, with site visits scheduled at the stages where being in the room changes the outcome. The same method has delivered waterfront homes in Queensland and a listed mansion in Scotland. This page explains how it works, what you receive, and the completed projects behind the claim.
A studio service, delivered online
Search for online design and most of what you find is package e-design: a questionnaire, a mood board and a shopping list, priced by the room. That model has its place, and it is not what we do. An online project with Luxxe Interiors is the same full engagement we run for a client twenty minutes from the studio. Tammy holds a Bachelor's Degree in Design and has specialised in residential interiors for eight years, and the service list does not shrink with distance. Full home interior design. Kitchens, bathrooms and laundries resolved down to joinery detail. Home cinema and bar rooms, decoration, renovations, drafting, and collaboration with your architect or builder on new builds.
Demand for that depth is real. Australians had $1.32 billion of residential alterations and additions approved in June 2026 alone, according to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, and the Houzz & Home Australia study found 94 per cent of renovating homeowners engaged professional help. The strongest designers in any city are booked out well ahead. Working online means your shortlist is no longer set by your postcode.
How a remote project runs
- Video consultation. You walk Tammy through the home or the plans and talk about how you live and what the project must achieve.
- Scope and fee. A written proposal, quoted stage by stage as fixed fees, with any travel costed in from the start.
- Base drawings. We work from your architect's or builder's set, or arrange a measured survey where none exists.
- Concept. Layouts, materials and direction, presented over video with imagery you can react to honestly.
- Renders and VR. You walk through your own rooms in virtual reality before anything is ordered. The finishes you see are the ones specified, not an artist's impression.
- Drafting package. Elevations, joinery drawings, lighting layouts, tiling setouts and finish schedules, documented so a builder who has never met us can price and build from it.
- Procurement and install. Furniture and decoration sourced by the studio and freighted to your door, and the team flies in for installs when the project warrants it.
Proof the model travels
Any studio can promise that distance is no obstacle. We would rather name the work. On the Gold Coast's Sovereign Islands, Luxxe Interiors has completed four residences, among them homes of more than 4,000 square metres of internal floor area and properties valued above $20 million. Further afield, Luxxe Interiors delivered the interiors of Duddingston Guest House, the Category A listed Palladian house in Edinburgh designed by Sir William Chambers in the 1760s. The brief crossed the planet, and the drawings, renders and schedules crossed back.
Between those two poles sit the Lindfield build and a Blakehurst home in Sydney, a Brisbane renovation, the Melbourne Georgian and a project in Mackay, all run from the Gold Coast studio.
Where we work
Anywhere the documentation can reach, which turns out to be anywhere. Within Australia this service underpins our interior designer Melbourne and interior designer Perth engagements, and our Gold Coast portfolio shows the work closest to home. Internationally, the Edinburgh project settled the question of whether the process survives an ocean. Video calls and shared drawings do not care about time zones, and an enquiry from the United States runs exactly the same way as one from Sydney.
How fees work
We do not sell per-room packages, and we do not publish prices, because scope decides cost and no two homes share a scope. Each stage is quoted as a fixed fee before it begins. You can stop after the drafting package and hand it straight to your builder, or continue through procurement to a finished, styled home. Travel, when a stage needs it, appears in the proposal up front rather than as a surprise later.
Frequently asked questions
How does an online interior design service work?
You brief the designer over video, decisions are made against 3D renders and VR walkthroughs of your actual rooms, and the outcome is a documentation package your builder prices and builds from. Site visits still happen. They are simply scheduled where they matter rather than assumed.
Is online design as good as working with someone local?
For the desk work, which is most of the work, yes. Spatial planning, joinery detail and finish schedules are produced in a studio wherever that studio sits. What changes is that the documentation must be thorough enough to stand on its own, which we consider a feature.
Do you ever visit the site?
Yes, at the stages where being there changes the outcome: typically the initial measure, a mid-build check and the install. Travel is costed into the fee proposal from the start.
What do we need to provide to start?
Plans if they exist, photos of every room if they do not, and an honest list of what frustrates you about the house. We arrange a measured survey when a project needs one.
Can you work with clients outside Australia?
Yes. The interiors of Duddingston Guest House in Edinburgh were delivered from this studio, and international projects follow the same stages as domestic ones, with meetings scheduled across time zones.
Start with a conversation
The first step is a video call with Tammy Brazel: your plans on screen and a frank discussion about whether remote design suits your project. If it does not, we will say so. Get in touch to arrange it, and client reviews are on hipages if you want an outside opinion first.
